What is Silkpeel Dermalinfusion?

Glendale Dermatology is excited to introduce Silkpeel Dermalinfusion to the clinic!  Patients have been extremely happy with this amazing, hydrating treatment with no downtime.  But what is Silkpeel Dermalinfusion?

Silkpeel is a non-invasive, painless procedure that combines the exfoliating technology of microdermabrasion with simulataneous infusion of a personalized serum into your skin.  As the microdermabrasion wand exfoliates, increasing the brightness and smoothness of the skin, a controlled vacuum pressure pulls and holds the skin which extracts dirt and debris deep within while serum is being infused deep into the dermis to more effectively provide treatment for different conditions.  The 4 different Pro-infusion serums can target specific skin concerns:

*Vitamin C for anti-aging: fine lines and wrinkles

Vitamin C has long been used in many anti-aging products.  Over time, collagen fibers shrink resulting in thinner, older-looking skin.  Consistent topical vitamin C use can help to plump and maintain thicker collagen to rejuvenate the skin.  When vitamin C is infused deeper into the skin rather than being applied topically, it can more effectively get to the collagen fibers.

*Lumixyl, Skin Brightening for hyperpigmentation: sun spots and dark spots

Hydroquinone is one of the most effective ingredients in topical products to even out skin tone, lighten brown spots.  With Silkpeel, hydroquinone is infused into the skin to more effectively lighten brown spots and even skin tone.  Melasma can be a stubborn condition to treat.  Many patients use topical hydroquinone with unsatisfying results.  Treating with Silkpeel and Lumixyl serum once every 2 weeks for a total of 6 treatments can dramatically and safely lighten the melasma.  After the 6 treatments, melasma can be maintained with once a month Silkpeel treatments and/or bleaching creams.

*ClarityMD, Pore Clarifying for acne

ClarityMD solution deeply infuses salicylic acid into the skin to calm acne.  Patients sometimes would rather not take any oral medications but topical medications alone may not be enough to completely control their acne.  Or, oral medications are being used but the patient may still have occasional minor breakouts despite medications.  Silkpeel with ClarityMD can be the main treatment or an adjunctive treatment to treat acne and clear blemishes.

*Ultra Hydrating for dry and dehydrated skin

As we age, the skin becomes drier and duller-looking.  The Ultra Hydrating serum is infused deeply into the skin to give the hydration that regular moisturizers alone cannot give.

As these solutions are being driven into the skin, they all hydrate and volumize the skin by 70%.  Silkpeel increases the radiance and clarity of the skin.  The doctors at Glendale Dermatology are excited to be able to provide this effective, non-invasive treatment with immediate improvement of the skin and no downtime.
